Description
Model Boat Marker Buoys (15mm – 45mm)
These miniature spherical buoys are based on real-world fishing and harbour marker buoys, commonly used for marking pots, nets, channels, and mooring positions. Designed for model boats and maritime layouts, they provide a simple and realistic way to add detail to working waterfront scenes.
Unlike scale-specific fittings, this range is designed to represent a natural variety of buoy sizes used in real maritime environments, making them suitable across multiple model boat scales.
Real-World Reference:
Marker buoys of this type are commonly used in:
Fishing gear (crab pots, lobster pots, net markers)
Harbour and channel marking
Temporary mooring points
Coastal and inshore navigation marking
Small craft and workboat operations

Preparation & Use
Preparation & Use
Preparation & Use
These models are produced using high-quality FDM 3D printing in PLA, resulting in fine layer lines and subtle surface texture. At smaller scales, these details are typically minimal when printed using optimised settings.
Each item is carefully produced using tuned print settings and inspected prior to dispatch to ensure it meets our quality standards for hobby use.
These parts are designed specifically for RC and scale modelling enthusiasts and are intended to be finished, painted, and detailed to match individual builds.
Light preparation such as sanding or filling may be required to achieve a fully smooth, high-end finish depending on the desired result.
Some components may include support structures from the printing process. These are removed during post-processing, and minor cleaning or light sanding may be required on internal or low-visibility areas.
Surface Preparation
Gently remove minor imperfections using a craft knife or fine-grit sandpaper.
Priming
Apply a suitable primer to improve paint adhesion and enhance surface smoothness.
Painting
Use quality acrylic paints. Multiple thin coats are recommended for best results, allowing full drying between layers.
